凝聚和絮凝作用是由水中分离悬浮及胶体微粒的基本方法。它们不但广泛应用于各种水质处理过程,而且也在许多其他工业技术部门如化工、医药、石油、选矿、建筑材料、土壤改良等方面占有重要地位,同时也是胶体化学的中心课题之一。历年来,众多学者对此进行了大量的理论和实验研究工作。近年来水质处理中的絮凝问题日益引起更多胶体化学家的注意。 由凝聚和絮凝作用组成的混凝过程是最古老的水质处理技术之一,以生产规模普遍应用也有一百余年,已经积累了丰富的生产经验和科研成果。尽管如此,目前对此过程的基本作用机理尚未建立起统一观点,特别在近一时期,更出现了意见纷纭众说不一的局面,这种状况已实际上阻碍着水处理技术的迅速发展。
Agglomeration and flocculation are basic methods for separating suspended and colloidal particles from water. They are not only widely used in various water treatment processes, but also occupy an important position in many other industrial technology sectors such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, petroleum, beneficiation, construction materials, soil improvement, etc., and are also one of the central subjects of colloid chemistry. Over the years, many scholars have conducted a lot of theoretical and experimental research. In recent years, the problem of flocculation in water treatment has increasingly attracted the attention of more colloidal chemists. The coagulation process consisting of agglomeration and flocculation is one of the oldest water treatment technologies. It has been applied for more than one hundred years in the production scale and has accumulated rich production experience and scientific research results. In spite of this, at present, the basic mechanism of this process has not yet established a unified view, especially in the recent period, there has been a mixed opinion of different opinions, this situation has actually hindered the rapid development of water treatment technology.
