Many articles on speakers at the outset point out that in the audio playback system, the speaker is the weakest link. Conical diaphragm has a significant impact on the speaker’s frequency response, and its complex vibration characteristics often lead to difficulties in mathematical analysis. In recent years, it has been possible to obtain detailed patterns of the vibration characteristics of the speaker cone due to the large number of mathematical operations performed by the computer. This pattern [which people are already familiar with in acoustical measurements] satisfactorily explains the irregularity of the cone vibrations and at the same time it has been possible to predetermine the dimensions and material.
