西枝江水文自动测报系统。系统土建及信道部分于一九八一年动工兴建,一九八三年安装及调试运行,一九八四年考核运行,一九八五年通过鉴定投产。系统总投资为110万元。系统建成以后,使我们改变了以住收集雨量、水位数据的常规方法,从而大大减轻了劳动强度,更重要的是能及时收集水文情报,收集时间以原来的几小时缩短为几分钟,这就为防汛水情预报多争取到几小时的预见期,有利于三防部门各级领导及早作出防洪决策,实施正确的指挥,组织人力物力进行抗洪抢险,安排居民搬出险区,搬迁低水物资,避免或减轻
