The theoretical basis of Edgar Snow’s thought of democratic war of resistance is the ideological theory of Western liberal democracy, anti-fascism and social reformism. The author points out that Snow’s idea of democratic war of resistance is governed by his personal subjective theory but mainly for the objective historical conditions of Chinese society at the time
