小学作文教学的规律性是什么?如何认识和运用这些规律?这是广大小学语文教师迫切关心的问题。大纲提出:“作文教学应该按从说到写的顺序,由易到难,由简单到复杂,循序渐进,逐步提高要求”,这个“循序渐进,逐步提高要求”的过程,就是小学作文教学必须遵循的客观规律。可以归纳成四句话:“从说到写,从述到作,从模仿到创作,从扶到放到收”。
