汉语注音罗马化系统的历史可以追溯到16世纪,西方人在汉语学习的过程中,创制了多个罗马化系统,以辅助其汉语学习。这些罗马化系统经历了从非英语拼写到英语拼写,从方言到官话,从南方官话到北方官话又到全国标准音的拼写尝试,各个系统之间互相吸收、借鉴,不断发展演变,为《汉语拼音方案》的推出提供了参考和历史依据。
The history of the Chinese phonetic romanization system can be traced back to the 16th century. Westerners created a number of romanization systems to aid their Chinese learning during Chinese learning.
