世界上有名的死海能使人漂浮.为什么呢?要弄清这个问题,还得从死海的特定位置及海水的密度和浮力的关系谈起.死海是个内陆湖,它的水面比地中海海平面低362米,因此凡是流进那里去的河水再也流不出来.那个地方的阳光充足,气温高,湖面上的水分不断地被蒸发到空气中去,所以湖水中的盐分就变得很高,比普通海水高5倍左右.死海海水的密度达1.172克/厘米~3~1.227克/厘米~3,比人体的密度1.021克/厘米~3~1.097克/厘米~3要大,所以人掉到死海里,总是漂浮在水面上.
