鄂温克族民间舞蹈种类丰富,可分为游猎舞、礼仪舞、节日庆典舞等多种类型。鄂温克族民间舞蹈的音乐也独具特色,从其音乐形态与具体表现形式来看,其舞蹈音乐可以分为呼号型和歌唱型两种不同的音乐类型,前者包括爱达哈喜楞(公野猪搏斗)舞、聂那肯舞(犬舞、犬斗舞)、巴勒那德舞(跳虎)、阿罕拜舞等;后者包括狩猎舞、阿芽舞、伊堪舞(篝火舞、欢乐之火舞)、奴克该勒舞(哲辉冷舞)等。鄂温克族舞蹈音乐的拍子类型均为四二拍。音乐类型为呼号型的舞蹈大多与狩猎生活结合更紧密,风格古朴,带有强烈的原始乐舞气息,产生的年代应该更为久远。在这类舞蹈中,呼号声、拍手声、跺地声甚至人们的欢笑声等各种声响都可作为音乐元素融入其中,其节奏鲜明、错落有致、高低有别,加之力度强弱、速度快慢的对比,汇成独特的舞蹈韵律。音乐类型为歌唱型的舞蹈由于增加了歌词,增强了音乐的旋律性,使得其音乐的表现力明显提高,总体艺术性有所加强。
