滨江西路第一小学是海珠区的一所老校,解放前是第95小学.解放后,市政府把它建造成为美丽的河南第二中心小学.1996年,区政府又斥资投入重建校舍,成为一所达标学校.学校领导与教师更新教学观念,努力学习使用现代教育理论和技术,积极推进素质教育.多年来,学校在各年级推行身心健康、计算机、英语口语及国防观念的普及教育,深入研究人格动力教学模式,创建和全面实施学校辅导机制,使全体学生有个性地全面发展.
