This study examines the impact of emotional tonic and arousal on the familiarity and recall process of memory retrieval and their psychological mechanisms. The results show that the positive and negative recognition rates of positive pictures are higher than those of negative pictures in the encoding stage without distractor tasks, and the impact of wake-up on high recognition accuracy is limited to negative pictures.
