The emergence of drug-resistant TB, especially MDR-TB, poses a serious threat to the implementation of tuberculosis control protocols. WHO and IUATLD (International Union Against Tuberculosis and Tuberculosis) Monitoring estimates: 50 million people worldwide are infected with M. tuberculosis. Two-thirds of tuberculosis patients are at risk of multidrug resistance. MDR-TB has the characteristics of high cost of treatment, low cure rate and high case fatality rate. The treatment of 400 MDR-TB patients is equivalent to treating all the medical expenses of 1 million non-MDR-TB patients. The serious situation of this kind of infection and treatment has become an important reason for the rising and unmanageable tuberculosis epidemic. It is likely to lighten the current chemotherapy control methods for controlling tuberculosis and have a serious impact on the epidemic of tuberculosis. The control of tuberculosis in the world is facing serious problems New trend.
