你是否注意到——多少年来,在《新华字典》《辞源》等字辞典中附着的《中国历史年表》上,我国最早的三个朝代夏商周的起始及夏商两朝的截止年代前,都写着一个“约”字;直到从西周后期的共和元年(公元前841年)开始,才有了确切的年代时间。但是,如今你再去查查新出版的《新华字典》,那《年表》中的“约”字没有了。要知道,删去这一个“约”字,意义重大啊!我国有确切纪年的历史一下子往前推了1229年。这涉及到一个重大的“科技工程”啊!新的年表显示,我国的夏代始于公元前2070年,止于公元前1600年;商代前期也有确切的年代框架;而商后期及公元前841年前的西周各帝王,更有了各自的准确年份。“约”字是怎样从中国历史年表中消失的?带着疑问,记者近日来到世界图书出版公司,通过这家公司出版的《夏商周断代工程丛书》,了解这个浩大的“九五”国家重点科技攻关项目。
