一、引言长期以来,我国的棉花育种工作比较重视产量而忽视品质,以致过去育成的棉花品种,在产量上虽已赶上甚至超过国外水平,而在纤维品质上,特别在纤维强度上却不能适应纺织工业的需要,不受厂方欢迎,近年来造成原棉大量积压。我院自六十年代以来,即从事陆地棉数量性状的遗传研究,根据育种和生产上提出的问题,先后研究并发表了关于陆地棉早熟性、丰产性和纤维品质性状的遗传力和遗传进度的估测;根据目前我国棉花生产上亟待解决的纤维品质问题,为了给棉花品质育种提供更为广泛的遗传依据,又进行了本项研究。

Since the 1960s, our institute has been engaged in genetic research on quantitative traits of upland cotton. Based on the questions raised in breeding and production, our institute has successively studied and published the heritability and genetic progress on the precocity, high yield and fiber quality traits of upland cotton According to the current problem of fiber quality in cotton production in our country, this study was conducted in order to provide a more extensive genetic basis for cotton quality breeding.
