At the invitation of China’s Fudan University and Fuzhou Institute of Materials and other units, Professor G.G.Roberts, Director of Applied Physics and Electronics at Durham University in the UK, will visit China in the first half of this year. Born in 1940, Professor Robers obtained a PhD and a Ph.D. in Science in 1965 and 1973 respectively. Professor Roberts’s research work is based on the electrical and optical properties of semiconductor and insulator materials and the physical properties of semiconductor devices.
