The U.S. Air Force has embarked on an EWOSS study to determine whether the Air Force has the weapons systems and procedures he needs in order to use effective electronic warfare in the current and near future conflicts. Air Force chief of staff Michelle E. Ryan, commanded by December 1997, Lieutenant-General Patrick Gambul, director of air and space operations, will take the lead in the research.
