一广东东江地区包括惠、潮、梅三个地方,位居广东东部,面对南海。汕头是这里重要的港口。在大革命时期,这里是革命力量与反革命势力激烈争夺的一个重要地区。在1925年以前,军阀陈炯明长期盘踞东江,勾结帝国主义和土豪劣绅,危害地方,并以此做为进攻广州革命政府的基地。为此,从1925年2月到11月,国民革命政府组织东征军两次讨伐陈炯明,并取得了胜利,从而奠定了广东革命根据地。在第二次东征后,国民政府于11月间任命周恩来为广东东江各属行政委员。
A Guangdong Dongjiang region, including Hui, tide, plum three places, located in eastern Guangdong, the South China Sea. Shantou is an important port here. During the Great Revolution, here was an important area where the revolutionary forces and the counter-revolutionary forces fiercely contested. Before 1925, the warlord Chen Jiongming took a long-term occupation of the Dongjiang River, colluding with imperialists and local tyrants and evil gentry, harming places and using it as a base for attacking the revolutionary government in Guangzhou. Therefore, from February to November 1925, the Eastern Expeditionary Army, the government organization of the National Revolutionary Revolution, twice crusaded against Chen Jiongming and won the victory, thus establishing a revolutionary base in Guangdong. After the second eastward expedition, the Nationalist government appointed Zhou Enlai as an administrative member of various genres in Guangdong’s Dongjiang River in November.
