消费社会是人以物的形式的礼拜仪式进行生活的基本领域,消费社会中的人需要的不是商品的使用价值,而是商品的手段意义即作为人被社会认同的手段。因此,以物的形式的礼拜仪式的消费是孤立的社会关系形成的基础和社会发展的动力。通过对符号的消费,人将自己的社会地位凸现出来,使自己与他人不同,实现社会地位和社会身份区分的目标,人的消费被符号所操控。大众媒体和休闲是消费的基本载体,大众媒体使人们丧失了评判的标准。与此同时,在消费社会中,人的休闲时间被社会的经济法则所操纵,成为物的抽象化的符号。
Consumption society is the basic field in which people live in the form of worship. People in the consumer society need not the value of the use of the goods, but rather the means of the goods as the means by which people are recognized by society. Therefore, the consumption of worship services in the form of things is the basis for the formation of isolated social relations and the driving force for social development. Through the consumption of symbols, people highlight their social status, differentiate themselves from others, and achieve the goal of distinguishing social status from social status. Human consumption is controlled by symbols. The mass media and leisure are the basic carriers of consumption, and the mass media have made people lose the standard of judgment. In the meantime, in the consumer society, people’s leisure time is manipulated by social economic laws and becomes the symbol of abstraction of things.
