多年来“肥胖型”大学生身体素质较差这一问题一直影响着普通高校体育教学的整体水平。但在实际的体育教学中,很多普通高校对提高肥胖大学生身体素质不够重视,不能有效的在教学中注意“肥胖型”大学生的特殊性,结果导致其身体素质不能在课堂上得到有效的锻炼和提高,无法达到《大学生体质健康标准》,进而影响到其将来的毕业及就业问题。采用阶梯式教学模式开展体育教学,不仅可以激发“肥胖型”大学生对体育课的兴趣,还可以提高“肥胖型”大学生的体育锻炼能力。吉林化工学院对体育课教学进行改革,从实际出发,对身体肥胖及未能达到《大学生体质健康标准》的大学生开设了以身体素质提高班,并很好的利用阶梯式教学模式进行课上教学,经过一年多的教学实践取得了良好的教学效果。
