北京市邮政管理局（又称北京邮政局）,是国家邮政局所属国有大型通信企业,担负着为中央国家机关、北京市党政机关、在京企事业等单位、各国驻华使馆等国际机构,以及北京市民提供邮政通信服务的任务。同时,还代表北京市人民政府负责北京地区邮政通信行业的行政管理工作,在北京市社会经济中占有重要的地位。管理局下辖4个市区邮电局,10个郊区县（区）邮政局,14个邮政通信专业局（公司）,共有职工近2万人,总资产29.3亿元。服务面积16807平方公里,服务人口约1300万人。与世界上138个国家和地区建立了通邮关系,日均处理邮件和报刊2604余万件（份）,是全国最大的邮件处理中心、转运中心和最大的国际邮件交换局、报刊发行局。
