德兴铜矿自1965年投产以来,由于矿石的铜矿物嵌布粒度较细,一段粗磨(-200目占55~60%)不易使其单体解离以及部分矿石氧化率较高,所以选矿技术指标一直很低。1977年以前,铜精矿品位为10~12%,回收率80%左右,历史最好年水平精矿品位仅有14.56%;1970年以后,南部露天采场投产,原矿含硫增高(由1~2%增至3~4%)加之硫铁矿物的可浮性极好,没有采取有效措施,导致铜精矿品位明显下降(降至8~10%),甚至常出现废品。1977年以来,矿山抓了粗精矿再磨、精选、铜硫混合精矿分离的技措工程的建设。该项工程自1978年5月建成投产,经过两年多的生产实践,精矿品位大幅度上升,经济效果显著。精矿品位由10~12%提高到22~
