前列腺是由腺组织与纤维肌性组织组成的实质性器官,围绕在男性尿道起始部。按组织成分可分为纤维肌肉间质及固有腺体两部分,良性前列腺增生症好发于尿道周围的腺区,前列腺癌主要发生于外周区。良性前列腺增生也称前列腺肥大,是男性老年人的常见病,40岁男性前列腺增生的患病率为43%,50岁以后每增加10岁患病率增加10%,75岁以后达90%以上。膀胱正常的贮尿和排尿功能是在中枢神经的控制
