这是一家以生产个人消费品而著称亚太地区的合资企业。早先的办公环境完全承袭中国企业的传统:办公区的一头是生产部,会议室被划作两个区域,中间仅仅隔着一道简单的屏风。走廊的一边按部就班地排列着采购、销售、人事、财务等职能部门,各自处于一个完全封闭的房间内。走廊的尽头是一间其大无比的总裁办公室,总裁的座位被放置在房间的一处斜角,屋子的另一头是环绕的沙发,占去了大部分的可用面积。在这家企业实施的企业业务重组项目中,除了常见的流程再造与组织调整之外,特别花了3个月的时间来改变办公区的办公环境。主要的改变之处在于:
