On January 18, 1934, on the eve of the opening of the Second National Congress of Chinese Soviets, Li Xuejun, head of a battalion of the Red First Ailment who reclaimed a serious illness, leaned back to his bed and wrote a letter to Chairman Mao Zedong, the Central Government of the Chinese Soviet Republic . Ten days later, the letter was published in the fourth edition of the 26th issue of the Red Star, organ of the General Political Department of the Workers ’and Peasants’ Red Army. This gives us an opportunity to read today a letter from the Red Army who is full of revolutionary spirit and full of noble sentiments handed over to the top leader of the Red China more than 80 years ago.
