十九世纪法国著名的现实主义作家莫泊桑的优秀短篇小说《我的叔叔于勒》,通过描述达佛朗司一家对自己亲人于勒前后不同态度的变化,深刻地揭露了资本主义社会人与人关系的冷酷、势利。“资产阶级撕下了罩在家庭关系上的温情脉脉的丽纱,把这种关系变成了纯粹的金钱关系。”“它使人和人之间除了赤裸裸的利害关系,除了冷酷无情的‘现金交易’就再也没有任何别的联系了。”马克思和恩格斯在《共产党宣言》中的上述著名论述,在莫泊桑的这篇小说中,通过菲利普夫妇与于勒等艺术形象得到了生动的反映。阅读这篇小说,可以帮助我们、特别是青少年一代认识资本主义社会的丑恶,加深对马列经典著作中有关论断的理解。
