地理图册与地理教科书都是地理教材的重要组成部分,在中学地理教学中具有重要地位。2012~2013年,根据教育部的工作部署,由人民教育出版社、中国地图出版社合作编制的人教版初中地理图册顺利通过教育部有关专家的审查,自2012年秋季开始在全国各地中学使用,受到广大师生的一致好评。在人教版初中地理图册的编制过程中,由中国地图出版社的教材资深编辑和青年骨干编辑,经过前期准备、调研、讨论、定稿、编制、送审、专家意见复核、审查等环节,最终完成了全部四册的编制工作,在这个过程中每位参与者都积极投入其中,共同完成了这项极具意义的工程。人教版初中地理图册是集体智慧的结晶,有着鲜明的特色。
