实施西部大开发战略,是一项规模宏大的系统工程,也是空前艰巨的历史任务。这个任务很自然地落到地方高等学校肩上。地方高校应以“三个代表”思想为指导,结合自身的实际,努力在西部大开发战略中成为先进社会生产力的重要基地,成为创造和传播中国先进文化的先锋;动员全体师生投身西部大开发战略,并作出应有的贡献。
The implementation of the strategy for the great development of the western region is a grand systematic project as well as an unprecedented arduous historical task. This task naturally falls to the shoulders of local colleges and universities. Local colleges and universities should take the guidance of the “Three Represents” as their guideline and combine their own actual conditions to strive to become an important base for advanced social productive forces in the strategy of developing the west and become the vanguard of creating and spreading China’s advanced culture. They should mobilize all teachers and students to join the Western University Development strategy, and make its due contribution.
