本文提出一种利用光计算机来完成合成孔径雷达(SAR)数据的数字相位处理之方法。这种方法与旧式模拟光学合成孔径雷达处理法(利用透镜)完全不同;确切地说,这是一种采用矩阵矢量乘法运算来计算各个复合象元值的全数字技术。此种方法能大大提高高分辨数字SAR系统的潜在处理速度与可能的覆盖范围,因而可以激发将光学计算应用于数字合成孔径雷达处理的兴趣。
This paper presents a method of using digital light computer to process digital phase of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data. This approach is completely different from older analogue optical SARs (using lenses); rather, it is an all-digital technique that uses matrix-vector multiplication to compute each composite pixel value. This approach greatly increases the potential processing speed and possible coverage of high-resolution digital SAR systems and can therefore stimulate interest in applying optical computing to digital synthetic aperture radar processing.
