《给萨福》在形式方面的诗美品格表现为:一、意象美。萨福是核心意象,“谷仓”“鹅”“杯子”“绿”“红”“淡蓝”等是派生意象。萨福意象象征着美、爱与自由的生命形态,意象大气、精致、纯洁、唯美。二、修辞美。海子通过比喻、夸张、排比、通感等,让诗情感丰沛,文质兼美。三、绘画美。海子吸收了绘画的一些技法,让《给萨福》抵达诗中有画之境。
