两岸进入WTO后,两岸共有的WTO成员身份和中国地区经济影响的增强,使台湾问题的外部经济意义更加突出。在祖国大陆经济的发展和台商对大陆经济发展加以积极运用的背景下,两岸经贸关系已经成为全球化、区域经济一体化中的一项重要内容。客观地看,可以说在地区一体化进程中,两岸有了在经济上真正把握自己命运的历史机遇。
After the two sides of the Taiwan Strait have entered the WTO, the common membership of the two sides of the Taiwan Straits and the enhancement of the economic impact in the Chinese region have made the external economic significance of the Taiwan issue even more prominent. Under the background of the economic development in mainland China and the positive use of Taiwanese businessmen in mainland’s economic development, the cross-Strait economic and trade relations have become an important part of globalization and regional economic integration. Objectively speaking, we can say that in the process of regional integration, both sides of the Strait have the historic opportunity to truly grasp their own destiny economically.
