建基于机器装置和机械技术进步之上的印刷媒介“语言”的形成是人类文化交流史上的第二次革命。印刷“语言”促使大众传播媒介产生 ,使文化交流进一步推向全社会而成为广大民众的日常生活资粮 ;同时印刷媒介“语言”也使文字的线性思维方式成为人类思维的具有普遍性的固化模式。这一时期的总的文化传播走向可称之为 :普及化——单向性。其交流的基本特征是 :〈1〉批量生产〈2〉广泛普及 ;〈3〉形态多样 ;〈4〉线性贯穿 The formation of the “language” of print media, based on the progress of machine installations and mechanical technology, is the second revolution in the history of human cultural exchange.
