《国际商报》10月31日报道:1999年,世界最大200家国际工程设计咨询公司国际市场营业额为172亿美元,比1998年的170亿美元增长1.3％;这200家设计公司同期在本国市场的营业额为267亿美元,增长8.5％。1997年的亚洲金融危机和石油价格的低价徘徊导致全球1998年的工程发包量下降,市场萧条,从而造成1999年国际工程营业额增长步履维艰。
“International Business Daily” reported on October 31: In 1999, the world’s largest 200 international engineering design consulting companies had an international market turnover of 17.2 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 1.3% from the 17 billion U.S. dollars in 1998; these 200 design companies were in the same period. The turnover of the domestic market was 26.7 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 8.5%. The Asian financial crisis in 1997 and the low price of oil prices led to a global decline in the number of projects contracted in 1998 and the market slumped. As a result, the growth in turnover of international projects in 1999 was difficult.
