嘉定区青少年活动中心是集青少年德育、艺术教育、科技教育、体育活动于一体的综合性校外教育机构。中心前身是建于1963年的嘉定县少年宫,1992年6月1日更名为“嘉定少年儿童活动中心”。为进一步拓展办学功能,2000年6月23日更名为“嘉定区青少年活动中心”。中心占地总面积60多亩,建筑面积一万多平方米。
Jiading District Youth Center is a set of young people moral education, art education, science and technology education, sports activities in one of the comprehensive school educational institutions. Center predecessor was built in 1963 in Jiading County Children’s Palace, June 1, 1992 changed its name to “Jiading Children’s Activities Center.” To further expand the school function, June 23, 2000 changed its name to “Jiading District Youth Center ”. Center covers a total area of 60 mu, building area of more than 10,000 square meters.
