恩格斯在论述科学发展的动力时,说过一段富有哲理的话:社会一旦有了对科学的需要,就能比十所大学更能推动科学的进步。同理,广大干部群众一旦有了对党的理论的需要,就能赋予党的理论发展以巨大的动力。理论由实践赋予活力,由实践来修正,由实践来检验。因为实践之树始终蓬蓬勃勃,充满生机,总是不断抽出新的枝条,发出新的叶芽,当然是常青的。实践赋予理论本身、理论研究、理论宣传和理论教育活力,理论之树才能常青。
In his discourse about the impetus of scientific development, Engels said that there is a philosophical remark: once the society has the need of science, it will be able to promote the progress of science more than the ten universities. By the same token, once cadres and the masses have had the need of the theory of the Party, they can give great impetus to the development of the theory of the Party. Theory is energized by practice, modified by practice, and tested by practice. Because the tree of practice has always been thriving and full of vigor, it constantly invariably draws new branches and sends out new leaf buds, which of course are evergreen. Practice gives theory itself, theoretical research, theory advocacy and theoretical education vitality, the tree of theory can be evergreen.
