日本昭和电线电缆株式会社最近研制了符合IEEE 383垂直托架燃烧试验规范的新型阻燃同轴电缆,这种电缆用低卤阻燃交联聚乙烯作绝缘,无卤阻燃交联聚乙烯作护套,故燃烧时放出的卤化氢气体少。本会社已研制的阻燃同轴电缆首先用于原子能发电站,后又开发多种这类电缆而实用化;近年来由于火力发电站等部门不断要求研制符合于IEEE 383垂直托架燃烧试验的低卤阻燃同轴控制电缆,而进行此项开发工作,因为同轴电缆使用在高频,这给绝缘体的难燃化带来困难。
Japan Showa Wire & Cable Co., Ltd. recently developed a new type of flame-retardant coaxial cable that conforms to the IEEE 383 Vertical Bracket Test Specification. The cable is insulated with a low-halogen flame-retardant cross-linked polyethylene and a halogen- Jacket, it emits less hydrogen halide gas combustion.
