进入21世纪,中国大学英语教学在国内外的大环境中受到来自专家学者、学生和社会等各方面的负面评价。中国政府的相关部门也在积极寻求关于大学英语教学改革的出路。复旦大学的蔡基纲先生在其所著的《中国大学英语教学路在何方》一书中提出EAP是中国大学英语教学的唯一出路。本文基于EAP理论以及蔡基纲先生对EAP在中国大学外语教学中势在必行的观点,结合笔者的实际教学经验,讨论了EAP教学在中国大学英语教学改革中实施的基础和优势,同时也分析了EAP教学实施面临的各种难题。
In the 21st century, college English teaching in China has been negatively evaluated by experts, scholars, students and the society in the general context both at home and abroad. Relevant departments of the Chinese government are also actively seeking ways to reform the college English teaching. Mr. Cai Ji-gang of Fudan University put forward EAP as the only way of English teaching in Chinese universities in his book, “Where is the Chinese College English Teaching?” Based on the EAP theory and Mr. Cai Ji-gang’s view that EAP is imperative in foreign language teaching in Chinese universities, combined with the author’s actual teaching experience, the paper discusses the foundation and advantages of EAP teaching in the reform of college English teaching in China, EAP teaching implementation of the various problems faced.
