对外宣传翻译的质量影响着一个国家的国际形象和对外交流。本文着重探讨了外宣英译中语言表达层面的策略,以南京外宣资料翻译为例,从词、句、篇章等层次论述了外宣英译中如何在各语言层次做到贴近译文读者的表达方式、文化背景、思维习惯和对信息的需求等要素。本文认为,外宣翻译的表达应总体上遵循异化的策略。而在处理中国文化特色词汇时,则应在保证目的语读者理解的前提下,优先采用异化的策略。
The quality of foreign propaganda translation affects the international image and foreign exchange of a country. This paper focuses on the tactics of linguistic expression in the English translation of foreign propaganda. Taking the translation of Nanjing propaganda materials as an example, this paper discusses how English translation of propaganda is close to the target audience in different languages at the levels of words, sentences and texts Expression, cultural background, thinking habits and the demand for information and other elements. This paper argues that the expression of foreign propaganda translation should generally follow the alienation strategy. When dealing with Chinese cultural characteristic words, we should give priority to alienation strategies on the premise of ensuring that target readers understand it.
