現代飞机上裝有許多無綫电裝置,有通訊用的,有領航用的,还有执行特种任务用的。飞机上有了这些装置,就等于長了敏銳的眼睛和耳朵。它們使飞行員能听見远在数千里以外的声音,能透过濃霧、密云和黑暗,看到人眼所看不見的目标,还能在复杂的气象和飞行条件下分辨出东南西北来。它們大大地武裝了飞行員的感觉器官。飞机通訊电台,是飞行員的“順風耳”。現代飞机上的通訊电台能够收听到1,000—1,500千米远,要比傳說中的“順風耳”还要远好几倍!
Modern aircraft is equipped with many radios, for communications, for navigational purposes, and for special missions. Having these devices on the plane equals the long, sharp eyes and ears. They enable pilots to hear voices thousands of miles away, see through invisible fog, dark clouds and darkness, unseen targets in the human eye, and to distinguish between northwestern and southwestern China under complex meteorological and flight conditions . They greatly arm the pilot's sensory organs. Aircraft communication station, is the pilot's “downwind ears.” Modern radio communication stations can listen to 1,000-1,500 km far, than the legendary “downwind ear” even several times!
