英语影视作品在我国受到越来越多的关注,作为一种文化交流工具,影视作品中的字符翻译在跨文化传播中扮演了重要角色。但是,由于不同国家在地域文化、生活习惯、宗教信仰等方面的差异,如果翻译者仅仅采用直译式的翻译方法,不仅不会实现英语影视作品的有效传播,而且会加深不同国度人民之间的误解。为此,在现阶段的英语影视作品字符翻译中尤其应该注重对相应的翻译技巧的把握,以不断提高英语影视作品在国内的传播效果,加深不同文化之间的相互交流。笔者在本文中就英语影视作品中的字符翻译特点和技巧进行简要分析,以期给相关研究者创新翻译方法以有益借鉴。
English film and television works are receiving more and more attention in our country. As a cultural communication tool, character translation in film and television plays an important role in intercultural communication. However, due to the differences in geographical cultures, living habits and religious beliefs among different countries, translators who use literal translation methods not only fail to achieve the effective dissemination of English films and TV programs, but also deepen the cooperation between people in different countries misunderstanding. Therefore, we should pay more attention to the corresponding translation skills in the translation of English video works at this stage in order to continuously improve the effect of English film and television works in the country and deepen the exchange between different cultures. In this paper, I briefly analyze the features and techniques of character translation in English films and TV programs, with a view to the relevant researchers to innovate translation methods to learn from.
