福克纳和金华都是极端关注内心冲突的现代派作家,他们大胆的文学实验不但使自己找到了一条温和的出路,而且极大地丰富了现代文学的叙事艺术。两位作家创作的相似性主要表现在对家乡题材的发掘、苦难和暴力主题的突出、现代技巧的运用以及人文精神的底蕴。余华作品的多面性虽然与福克纳作品的琳琅满目不可同日而语,但是余华的激情和幽默却比福克纳有过之而无不及。
Both Faulkner and Jinhua are modernist writers who pay close attention to inner conflicts. Their daring literary experiments not only found a gentle outlet for themselves, but also greatly enriched the narrative art of modern literature. The similarities between the two writers are mainly manifested in the exploration of the themes of their hometown, the theme of suffering and violence, the application of modern techniques and the humanistic spirit. The multiple facets of Yu Hua’s works are remarkably different from those of Faulkner’s work, but Yu Hua’s passion and humor are far greater than Faulkner’s.
