十年来,陕西交通运输事业,在党的过渡时期总路线和建设社会主义总路线的照耀下,在党的正确领导、全省人民和全体职工的热烈支援和奋勇努力下,有了重大的发展。将反动政权统治时期所留下的陕西省交通运输特别落后的面貌,已彻底改变,人民的交通运输网,已在全省范围内,初步形成。仅就公路建设来说,当1949年解放初期,陕西虽有公路4232公里,而实际通车者仅1515公里,将近三分之二的公路徒具虚名。
Over the past decade, Shaanxi’s transportation and transportation undertook significant developments under the party’s correct leadership, with the warm support and courageous efforts of the people and workers of Shaanxi Province under the general line of the party’s transition period and the general line of building socialism. The special situation that Shaanxi’s transportation left behind during the rule of the reactionary regime has completely changed. As far as highway construction is concerned, in the early days of 1949, although Shaanxi had 4,232 kilometers of roads, the actual traffic was only 1,515 kilometers and nearly two-thirds of the roads were illegitimate.
