淮北是江苏省主要产麦区,常年实播面积2500万亩以上,占总耕地面积的60%左右,其中潮土类麦田约1500万亩(包括沙土、壤土及两合土),占麦田面积的60%左右。多年调查结果表明,这类土壤是荠菜的主要嗜生场所。据不完全统计,常年荠菜发生面积达1000万亩以上,造成小麦减产4~5亿斤,损失近亿元。为了探讨有效防除麦田荠菜的途径,笔者从1983年起,利用常规除草剂混配、不同生育期施药等方法,系统研究了不同条件下的防除效果,以期为大面积推广麦田荠菜的化除技术提供依据。
