十年来地球物理採矿工作在我国无論是規模的扩大,技术水平的提高和探矿实际效果的增长,都是非常迅速的。这門在旧中国几乎已被遺弃了的冷門科学技术,在新中国的社会主义土地上得到了更生,蓬勃地成长起来,充分体現了党与政府对新兴科学技术的关怀与支持。地球物理探矿是地貭找矿工作的新技术新工种,是利用物理科学来帮助地貭科学仅凭地表直接观察发現不了的、陷藏于地下的矿床和地貭情况,否則人們所能找到的矿物原料一定是极有限度的。因此它应該是現代地貭找矿工作的一个重要方面。旧中国反动政权不可能重視和发展这种工作。在漫长的一段时期里虽然石油勘探部門、地貭調查和物理学研究机构,也曾枝枝节节进行过微不足道的工作,由于規模太小,技术落后,沒有发揮任何有益于地貭採矿的作用。解
