粉末冶金制品在国民经济很多部门正得到广泛应用,铁粉末制成的零件已普遍用于仪器制造中,例如,磁导体铁芯、低频变压器(?)挡板、扼流圈等。但要进一步发展粉末冶金,必须提高零件的抗腐蚀性。零件烧结后具有多孔性,在孔隙里吸附了大气,它不仅能破坏零件表面,而且在毛细力和扩散作用下,可往内部渗透。用传统的电镀和化学镀方法,在粉末制品表面上施以覆盖层是行不通的。因为孔隙中会渗入化学溶液,使制品内部发生腐蚀。
