John Hillen, US Business Executive, former Assistant Secretary of State nominated by George W. Bush, served from October 11, 2005 to January 11, 2007. Responsible for the country’s political and military affairs. Now the chairman and chief executive officer of Sothra Security Defense Company. This article explores the composition of the U.S. military culture and the challenges it faces in seven aspects. It includes identifying the military’s primary tasks and their legitimacy from the constitutional and state laws, analyzing the various aspects of their responsibilities, legal needs and social needs. The conclusion is finally reached: The armed forces should, to a certain extent, reflect the social culture they vow to defend and the armed forces should serve for democracy.
