American poet Robert Frost stands in the 20th century world poetry with his fresh and natural poetic style. Mr. Fang Ping selected dozens of his poems translated into Chinese, the audience has a very large impact. His translations include “An Unblocked Road”, “Linbian at a Snowy Night”, “Xiuqiang” and “Birch Tree”, all of which are familiar to most readers. When editing the translated poems of Mr. Fang Ping, we deliberately selected some works which were rarely collected for selection. First, let the readers see as much as possible the whole picture of Freund’s poetry, and second, these works are genuine translations of Mr. Fang Ping’s translation. In particular, the last “unreserved devotion” in this group of works is Frees’ poem, which was recited on January 20, 1961 during the inauguration of U.S. President Kennedy. For the first time in the history of the United States, a poet received such a lofty courtesy.
