苏曼殊编译出版的《拜伦诗选》中收录了《赞大海》（6章）《去国行》（10章）、《哀希腊》（16章）三诗，苏氏自云此三诗系他所译，文学界、学术界迄今一般仍沿用此说。本文从黄侃自述之可信、黄侃译过拜伦之另诗、钱基博《现代中国文学史》有关论述之旁证、台湾潘重规教授之考证、黄苏二人诗歌创作和译诗的风格及特点之比较等五个方面，考辨论过了上述三诗的真正译者，确认此三诗系黄侃所译，唯其中《赞大海》第五章为章太炎助译。
