1881年,巴尔福的《庄子》英译本出版。是为《庄子》的首个英文译本。本文拟对巴尔福《庄子》英译本中的人名翻译进行概述与评析,归纳译者处理人名时的翻译策略。
1881, Balfour’s “Zhuangzi” English translation. It is the first English translation of Zhuangzi. This article intends to summarize and comment on names translation in Balfour ’s English version of Chuang Tzu, and summarizes the translation strategies of translators in handling names.
