甜菜是我县主要的经济作物之一,近廿年来,播种面积已由1966年的62亩,扩大到至今的近四万亩,产量也由当初的60余吨增加到4.2万吨。目前,我县两座糖厂已形成日处理800吨的生产能力,年需甜菜12万吨,而现在的产量只能达到需要量的35%,两个糖厂150天的生产期只能生产52.5天,加之我县的甜菜单产长期徘徊在一吨左右,虽然1984年有上升的趋势,但近期内原料不足的矛盾仍是我县制糖业发展的主要障碍。 我县甜菜生长期的日照时数与温差均居全省甜菜生产县之首,土壤的pH值为7.5~8.6,与甜菜对土壤的要求相吻合,降雨的分布对甜菜生长发育也极其有利。因此,要发展建平的糖业生产,就必须因地制宜地充分利用这有利的自然条件,克服不利因素。现就我县甜菜生产上几个急待解决的技术问题做一探讨:
Beet is one of the main cash crops in our county. In recent 20 years, the area planted has expanded from 62 mu in 1966 to nearly 40,000 mu so far. The output has also increased from 60 tons to 42,000 tons. At present, the two sugar mills in our county have formed a production capacity of 800 tons per day and require 120,000 tons of beets each year, and now the output can only reach 35% of the required amount. The production period of 150 days of the two sugar mills can only produce 52.5 days, combined with sugar cane production in our county lingered for a long time. Although there was an upward trend in 1984, the contradiction between the lack of raw materials in the near future was still a major obstacle to the development of the sugar industry in our county. The sunshine duration and temperature difference of sugar beet growing season in our county ranked the first in the beet producing counties in the whole province. The pH value of the soil is between 7.5 and 8.6, which is in good agreement with the soil requirements of beet. The distribution of rainfall is also very beneficial to the growth and development of sugar beet. Therefore, in order to develop Jianping’s sugar industry, we must make full use of this favorable natural conditions and overcome unfavorable factors according to local conditions.
