采用自拟黄芪全蝎汤（由黄芪１００ｇ，归尾、赤芍、川芎、桃仁、防风各９ｇ，红花６ｇ，地龙、白附子各８ｇ，全蝎、僵蚕各１０ｇ，白术１２ｇ，蜈蚣３条等药组成）治疗面神经炎３０例，结果３０例患者服药１个疗程即痊愈者２８例，服药２个疗程痊愈者２例。随访１～３年，未见１例复发。表明根据治风先治血，血行风自灭的原则拟定的、以益气固表，祛风通络为主要治疗作用的、由《医林改错》之“补阳还五汤”、《杨氏家藏方》之“牵正散”以及《丹溪心法》之“玉屏风散”加蜈蚣组成的黄芪全蝎汤有较好的治疗面神经炎的效果。
