In the spring of 2007, Cairo University and Munich University jointly excavated at Tuna el-Gebel and found a primitive Roman tomb with a stone roof in the form of a pyramid named after a Greek inscription. This small limestone burial contains the Egyptian burial style that has not changed. Two heavy lime and gold-plated mummies were placed in two wooden coffins, one of them with a wooden damask roof. The mummy has colorful glass inlays, and both beds display ajoure-work of the ornate religious ceremonial scenes (these images are divided by planks). Seventy amulets in parts of Egypt and Greece were hung on the bed, made of lime and painted green. Two lime statues Isis (38cm high) were placed near the head. Statues are formed using the surrounding stakes and then painted in color. They are an obvious example of a mixed style. They are processed into a typical Greek pose, but still have an Egyptian background. In traditional Old Egypt, each color in the spectrum has a specific symbolic meaning. Through it you can read the background of the cycle of changes. For example, the color changes from red (offerings / enemies) - white (where Sirius is located) - black (invisible) - green (recycled) to the colorful forms on Earth again. This unity has broken down in Rome. The appearance of new colors such as pink, yellow painted on the white crown and so on. The symbolic meaning of Egypt seems to have completely disappeared in the new Roman burial color decoration.
